Anthurium

Anthurium is a genus of plants in the Araceae family that includes about 1,000 species. This ornamental flowering plant is widely known for its bright and unusual flowers. Anthurium is often called the "flower of happiness" or "man's happiness," as it is considered a symbol of luck and prosperity.

1. Light Anthuriums like bright but diffused light. Direct sunlight can cause sunburn on the leaves. An east- or west-facing windowsill is ideal. In low-light conditions the plant may stop flowering and its leaves will be less vibrant. 2. Temperature Anthuriums prefer warm conditions with temperatures from 18 to 25°C. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations, as this can cause the plant to become ill. In winter keep the temperature no lower than 15°C. 3. Watering Watering should be regular but moderate. The soil should be slightly moist but not waterlogged. It's important to avoid standing water in the saucer, as this can lead to root rot. Water the anthurium more often in summer and less often in winter. Water the plant with room-temperature, settled water to avoid damaging the roots.
