Care Guide

Azalea likes stability and coolness — then it will bloom abundantly. 1. Light: bright, diffused, without direct sunlight. Ideal — an east- or north-facing window. 2. Temperature: cool (12–18 °C), especially in winter for bud formation. 3. Watering: regular, with soft water. The soil should be kept constantly slightly moist, but not wet. Do not allow it to dry out. 4. Humidity: high. Mist the leaves and place the pot on a tray with moist pebbles. 5. Soil: acidic (pH 4–5), a special azalea potting mix. 6. Feeding: once every 2 weeks from spring to autumn with a rhododendron fertilizer (lime-free). 7. Pruning: after flowering remove spent blooms and pinch back shoots to promote bushiness. 8. Repotting: every 2–3 years after flowering, carefully, without damaging the roots.
