Lighting: variegated varieties prefer bright, diffused light, while other types will be comfortable in partial shade. Do not leave the ficus in direct sunlight. 3 Humidity: some species require high humidity (up to 75–80%), others are fine with 50%. Excess moisture can trigger the growth of rot-causing bacteria. 3 Temperature: the optimal temperature for ficus plants in summer is 22–24 °C, in winter — 12–16 °C. 4 Watering: usually once a week is enough, but it's better to check the soil condition. If the soil has dried to a depth of 2–3 cm, you can water the ficus. Use water that has been left to stand for 1–2 days, and water moderately: better to let it dry out slightly than to overwater. 3
