Care for a cactus brought home from a store in a pot begins with choosing the right location. Although indoor succulents are not demanding plants, it is necessary to create suitable conditions for their cultivation. Desert species need a well-lit spot, so it is appropriate to place them on south-, southeast-, or southwest-facing windowsills. Tropical ones dry out quickly under the sun’s rays, so they should be placed in partial shade: north-, west-, or east-facing windowsills.
