Care Guide
Monstera is a tropical beauty with enormous, carved leaves. An ideal plant for creating an interior accent. It grows quickly, requires minimal care, and yet looks impressive. ? Lighting Bright, indirect light (east/west window). Direct sun will burn the leaves; deep shade will slow growth, and the leaves will not have a carved appearance. ? Watering Densely but sparingly. Allow the top third of the soil to dry out between waterings. Less frequently in winter. Important: Avoid standing water in the pot or tray. ? Temperature Ideal: +20°C...+25°C. Minimum: +16°C. Protect from drafts and sudden temperature changes. ? Humidity Loves high humidity! Mist the leaves 2-3 times a week. Wipe off dust with a damp cloth. Keep away from radiators in winter. ? Fertilizing From April to September, apply fertilizer for ornamental foliage plants every 2-3 weeks. Do not fertilize in winter. ✂️ Support and Pruning Support (a moss pole or stick) is needed to encourage upward growth, not sideways growth. ⚠️ Prune overly long shoots in the spring to encourage new leaves. ⚠️ Important Sap can be irritating; wear gloves when pruning. ⚠️ Do not trim aerial roots! Direct them toward the soil or support. ⚠️ Large leaves collect dust; wipe them regularly. Summary: Monstera is a hardy and striking plant. Enough light, moisture, and support—and it will delight Decades with its tropical exoticism! ?✨
