Spathiphyllum, known as "women's happiness", is an evergreen houseplant of the Araceae family, native to tropical America. Its distinctive features are glossy, dark green, oval-shaped leaves and striking white flowers consisting of a spadix and a white spathe that resembles a sail or a fan. This plant effectively purifies and humidifies the air and also has decorative and aesthetic qualities, so it is often given to women.

Care Guide

For successful care of a spathiphyllum, provide bright indirect light, avoiding direct rays, and maintain a temperature of 18 to 25°C, avoiding drafts. Water with soft warm water as the top layer of soil dries, but do not allow water to stagnate. Regularly mist the leaves and wipe them with a damp sponge, maintaining high air humidity. Feed the plant with mineral fertilizers every 2–3 weeks during the active growth period. Promptly remove dust and faded inflorescences, and repot young plants annually and mature ones every 2 years.
